The Victorian Fayre in Worcester and the Marché de Noël in Le Vésinet took place over the same weekend this year, which unfortunately meant that we could not go to Le Vésinet and they could not visit us! We received some beautiful handmade items from Ukmergë, which were very popular and we were delighted to welcome Andreas and Volker from Kleve on their second visit to Worcester! Thanks again to our wonderful members, who gave up their time to work on the stall.
Victorian Christmas Fayre 2021
So pleased that the Worcester Victorian Christmas Fayre took place again in 2021! Our friends from Kleve, Le Vésinet and Ukmergė were unfortunately unable to take part in this annual event, which has always been one of the highlights in our social calendar. We therefore decided to have just one combined stall to represent our three twin towns from Thursday 2 to Saturday 4 December. Many members very kindly volunteered to work on the stall, which proved to be a great success. Four of us were also invited to attend the opening ceremony in the cathedral before joining the procession to the Cornmarket. Our Chair, Liz Smith, made a speech which included the greetings and good wishes sent from our absent twin towns. According to the feedback received, everyone enjoyed themselves and we are hoping to welcome our twin towns back to Worcester in 2022.
