Worcester, USA
Situated in New England with a population of approximately 200,000 and just 45 miles from the historic town of Boston, Worcester is both a commercial and industrial centre.
The city is endowed with five museums and art collections in addition to a world class concert hall. Worcester is also known as the "City of Seven Hills" surrounded as it is by seven hills and lovely countryside. The best time for New England is, of course, "The Fall" to be amazed by the multi-coloured autumn leaves everywhere.
Formal twinning between the two Worcesters commenced in 1999, although many informal links and friendships have blossomed over many years.
